For this scheme our team had to install three 30mmØ copper earth cables, each of varying length totalling 1,371m. The work area lay within an SSSI meaning no trenches could be dug, and the terrain was made even more difficult as the work was through landfill and involved tricky geology.
To overcome these challenges, we installed a special tracking walkway to ensure the SSSI was not damaged and used one of our powerful directional drilling rigs to overcome the geology.
